SEATTLE-BASED CERAMIC ARTIST

My name is Natalya. I’m a ceramic artist and the founder of Natural Home Accents. I was born in Russia and now live and work in Seattle area, Washington.

I didn’t come to ceramics through a traditional path. My journey began quietly, fueled by a deep love for nature and a need for stillness in a fast-moving world. I’ve always been drawn to natural textures—weathered stone, tree bark, soil, the feel of earth after rain. That quiet beauty found its way into my work once I discovered clay. I took evening pottery classes at Bellevue College for 1.5 years, but most of what I’ve learned has come through hands-on experience and experimentation.

Today, I focus on creating ceramic wall décor and interior pieces that feel like a natural part of a home. I work with porcelain, stoneware, and textured glazes in soft, earthy tones to bring grounded, calming energy into modern spaces. My hope is that each piece feels like a small pause—something that invites people to breathe, slow down, and reconnect with something real.

Over the past few years, I’ve shown my work at events like the Bellevue Arts Museum Art Fair, Edmonds Arts Festival, and Redmond Arts Festival. This year, my artwork will be represented at the Seattle Art Fair by SAB Gallery (Los Angeles, CA).

As a quiet person by nature, I tend to express myself best through materials. I may not always have the words, but I hope my work speaks for itself—softly, honestly, and with care.

ARTIST STATEMENT

In my work, I explore how ceramics can bring a quiet, grounding presence into a space. I’m drawn to natural textures, earthy tones, and the kind of materials that feel timeless and honest. My goal is to create pieces that don’t just decorate a space but truly belong there, adding depth, warmth, and a sense of balance.

To me, ceramics are more than objects—they’re a way to feel more connected to the world around us. In today’s fast, digital world, I think we all crave something slower, something real. My pieces are an invitation to bring nature inside, to create spaces that feel calm, intentional, and alive.
