MEET THE ARTIST

My name is Natalya, and I am the artist and creator behind Natural Home Accents. Originally from Russia, I am now based in the Seattle area.

My art is dedicated to the dreams we keep hidden. I use porcelain because its fragility is the perfect symbol of our hopes, which can easily shatter. My layered works show the conflict between our calm outside appearance and the big, strong dreams we carry inside.
My porcelain sculptures are a metaphor for the silent, deep goals that define us. In my most important pieces, I deliberately break these dream symbols. I believe true strength isn't about avoiding mistakes, but about the effort we put into rebuilding what broke.
My art shows that a dream we repair (with Kintsugi) becomes more valuable and stronger than it was before.
This is an invitation: to pause, value all your hopes, even those that were broken, and celebrate the strength you found to sustain them.

ARTIST STATEMENT

ARTIST STATEMENT: THE QUIET POWER OF HOPE
My creative work is simply a way to show how we find the strength to hold onto our dreams, even when they seem fragile. I use ceramics and mixed media to look at how our calm outside appearance meets the big, powerful desires we hold inside.
The Language of Clay
Clay is my favorite material because it is like human hope: it is very strong, but it can also shatter easily. My art shows this idea in three ways:
• Pure Potential (Ceramic Sculptures): These pieces capture an ideal, untouched beauty. They remind us of the dream in its purest form, before it meets the pressures of reality.
• The Initial Vision (Custom Collages): These collages serve as the "soft, starting clay" of our desires. They show the clean, unspoiled idea from which our adult goals are later shaped.
• The Proof of Sustaining (Conceptual Assemblage): In my layered portraits, I use elements that symbolize Fragile Dreams. I break them and then repair them using the golden method of Kintsugi. This visible repair shows that our strength is not in avoiding mistakes, but in the effort we make to restore and keep the value of that dream.
My goal is to create objects that inspire hope and help us see the beauty and immense worth in our own carefully preserved inner worlds.
